Preparing Your Vehicle for Winter

Now that winter is upon us, Bowman Commercial wants you to make sure that your vehicle is prepared for the cold, ice and snow. Following some important tips will get your vehicle in shape for the winter, and your will be safer as you drive.

The cold weather can be rough on batteries, so it is important that you get your battery checked. A battery over three years of age might need to be replaced. Any battery that registers a low charge on testing should be replaced regardless of age. While you are getting your battery checked, you will want to make sure that your antifreeze is at the proper level.

As winter comes, the snow and ice can make the streets slick, and you might slide off the road. It is good to have a winter survival kit in your vehicle that consists of blankets, a flashlight and something to eat.
