Learning How to Safely Drive in the Rain

The safety guide for driving in the rain has been brought to you by Bowman Commercial.

One of the best things that you can do when it starts raining after you turn on the windshield wipers is to make certain to turn on the headlights. This makes your vehicle much easier to be spotted by another driver as the conditions deteriorate.

Once rain begins falling, you should slow down at least two more seconds so you increase the cushion between you and other vehicles. This not only increases reaction time, it can keep the car from hydroplaning.

Turn off the car's cruise control the minute it gets raining because the tires will have more trouble contacting the road, so you could skid right off the road otherwise.

Be sure to bring your vehicle to Bowman Commercial so we can inspect for signs of trouble that could affect your ride in the rain.
